MIKAEL JOHANSSON is co-founder of Fifth Madison Group at Brown Harris Stevens. Originally from Sweden, he is a sales tour de force and the creative engine behind Fifth Madison Group. His polished and personable persona allows him to navigate the complex relationships that being an effective real estate broker requires. Mikael's aesthetic eye is invaluable for staging and preparing properties for sale, and guiding purchasers toward the right fit in a new home. He also puts a lot of care into his relationships, and is known for his thoughtfulness and strategic "matchmaking" between our sellers and buyers.
Previous to real estate, Mikael was Vice President of Hästens, a Swedish luxury bedmaker, selling five and six figure mattresses to high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals for ten years. He brings with him from that experience a deep understanding of high-touch private client relationships and of marketing, along with an extensive local and international network. Prior to moving to New York in 2015, he studied International Business at California State University in Los Angeles. Mikael now lives with his wife Amanda and his five-year-old Doxiepoo named Baci on 84th and Fifth Avenue. You can often find him in neighborhood staples such as Butterfield Market, Via Codrono and E by Equinox, or walking in Central Park.
Mikael is an active member of the Real Estate Board of New York, New York Residential Agent Continuum, and the American Real Estate Association. He is deeply involved in the brokerage community at large and in the Upper East Side neighborhood he loves and calls home.
Fifth Madison Group at Brown Harris Stevens is not just a brokerage team — it’s a movement to thoughtfully and strategically reposition one of New York’s most iconic neighborhoods for the next generation.
We look forward to working for you.
